The Information Systems (IS) department at bioMerieux is a global organization with a regional presence in the US, France, and China. The IS team is deeply integrated with business units across the company to bring digital innovation to life, deliver transformations on core platforms, and ensure operational efficiency.

This position will support our Supply Chain business unit. Within the IS Supply Chain and Manufacturing team, this role will contribute by (1) solving operational issues using ITIL processes, (2) delivering enhancements to SAP and related business tools, and (3) working on global, regional, and local projects. This position will work closely with our Manufacturing and Supply chain business counterparts to understand their requirements and deliver results by defining, implementing, and maintaining information systems.

The person in this position will work with both the traditional waterfall method of delivery as well as Agile methodology, depending on the nature of the project. The IS organization usually delivers minimum viable products (MVP), and then progressively builds on them in an iterative manner.

    

This position will be based in the US. Preferred location is Salt Lake City, Utah, Durham, North Carolina, or Saint Louis, Missouri. The person in this position will work on all related modules of SAP (ECC, S/4 Hana), SAP Cloud Platform, APS, EDI and best-of-breed SaaS solutions. They will actively participate in technology watch (techwatch) activities to propose innovative and best-in-class solutions for bioMerieux.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in resolving complex incidents to keep our business teams running
  • Implement enhancements on our various platforms. Approximately 50% of this activity will support the Americas region, with the remaining 50% of time spent supporting international teams and processes.  
  • Participate in supply chain and manufacturing and warehousing pre-project studies in : Demand & Planning, Customer Promise (order mgt), Warehousing & Transport & Distribution, Equipment & Spare Parts
  • Propose innovative solutions to meet the needs of our business in a context of strong digital transformation
  • Contribute as a solution consultant to the success of projects, both international and regional. Main project activities are: Functional/technical specifications, configuration, testing, UAT, cutover and hypercare support 
  • Contribute to techwatch and propose best-in-class technological solutions to improve bioMérieux's logistics operations (IIoT, Analytics, RPA, Artificial Intelligence, SaaS) in fail-fast mode.


Scope:

  • Supply Chain activities, including material movement between the different storage locations, warehouses, and external partners (from factories to end customers), including complex triangular flows between different subsidiaries.
  • Alignment between financial flows and supply chain flows
  • Import and export customs clearance processes (compliance and documentation)
  • Understanding of the ERP master data related to distribution processes
  • Interactions with other Supply Chain processes (warehousing, transport, sales administration, planning, customer solutions)

Training and Education

Business Analyst II

  • BS degree in Computer Science, IS, IT, or related field or equivalent experience

Business Analyst III

  • BS degree in Computer science, IS, IT, or related field or equivalent experience

Experience

Business Analyst II

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with specific business domain as defined by the role required
  • Customization experience in SAP SD, LE, and/or MM. 

Business Analyst III

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with specific business domain as defined by the role required
  • Customization experience in SAP SD, LE, and/or MM. 

Skills:

  • Good knowledge of logistics, manufacturing, and warehousing processes
  • Experience with ERP (SAP) and/or other similar business platforms (e.g. CRM, MES, QMS)
  • Technical understanding of ERP, CRM, and/or other enterprise systems architecture, configuration, and administration
  • Autonomous. You have an appetite for digital technologies, innovation and cultural transformation
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to present in front of groups of people
  • Proficient use of oral and written English. French speaking ability a plus
  • Business travel up to 10% can be expected, including international travel
  • Desired: experience in an industrial, medical device, or consulting company
