Global Medical Research Associate for Microbiology

Location: St. Louis, Mo


The Global Medical Research Associate will support the peri-and post-commercial launch study (PPCLS)  program. This position reports to the Director of Global Medical Affairs for Microbiology.


Main Accountabilities

  • Serve as primary contact between bioMérieux and site investigators
  • Work with bioMérieux legal team and study sites to execute research agreements
  • Manage all study documentation
  • Monitor project execution according to timeline and budget set forth in study contract
  • Perform site visits as needed
  • Manage study supplies and reagents, and site payments
  • Track all study milestones and deliverables, including any publications
  • Provide updates to the PPLS team on the status of studies
  • Assist the PPLS team with other activities as needed


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or related fields is required with a minimum 2-5 years of clinical research experience
  • Advanced degree in Health Sciences or related fields preferred (MPH, MS) with a minimum 1-3 years of clinical research experience
  • Proficient user of standard computer software, including MS Office, MS Project, MS EXCEL, Adobe Acrobat, MS Power Point.
  • Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of diagnostic/pharmaceutical clinical research including study design, conduct, analysis and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, rigorous proof-reading skills and ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects from conception to completion
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well in cross-functional teams (across geography and culture) with a group of people with diverse background, skill sets and personalities
  • Team player, flexible and adaptable


Total Annual Travel: <5-10%
