Position Summary:

Leads team to ensure internal and external customer service targets are met through execution of logistics, planning and/or procurement activities. Responsible to develop and implement continuous improvement in departmental efficiencies. Manages resource allocation; recruits, trains, evaluates, and develops supply chain staff using active listening and communication to ensure engaged team members. 


Main Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the overall planning, controlling, and managing of the St. Louis Supply Chain materials management function. 
  • Lead group to acquire top service rate at the best cost to monitor inventory levels and accuracy to optimize fine scheduling.
  • Focus on operations and tactical levels including hours, days, weeks, months, quarters.
  • Oversee daily workflow and scheduling.
  • Focus on team’s service rate achievement, inventory accuracy and level.
  • Maintain metrics and reporting with the team.
  • Propose organization improvements, participate in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Promote collaborative teamwork, give feedback, coaching and training to staff.
  • Ensure regulatory, QMS and HSE compliance.

 

Studies/Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business/Material Management/Purchasing/Science.
  • Requires a minimum of five years of relevant operational experience in manufacturing, or logistics, or planning with proven ability to lead others.
  • Must have working knowledge of ISO, CGMP and MRP manufacturing principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including verbal and written skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Package.
  • Certification by APICS or ISM (NAPM) is desired.
