bioMérieux has a position open for a Forecast Analyst to be based in our Salt Lake City, UT office location.


The Forecast Analyst will create and maintain a statistical model to forecast demand for bioMérieux’s US clinical business. This position will work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to optimize forecast accuracy, plan manufacturing quantities, and develop the annual revenue budget.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and refine a statistical forecast model that accurately predicts reagent and equipment demand mid- and long-term.
  • Estimate demand in terms of volume and revenue for both new and existing products, including overall trends and seasonal variances.
  • Collaborate with product managers and other commercial leaders to analyze and project the impact of sales and marketing programs.
  • Work with Finance to drive the revenue forecast for the annual budget and strat plan process.
  • Interface with Supply Chain/Manufacturing to provide regularly updated volume forecasts with sufficient lead times to meet customer demands.
  • Create reports on forecasted and actual demand and the resulting forecast accuracy.
  • Perform ad hoc market analyses on business performance, trends, and challenges. 


Experience & Education:

  • 3+ years of analyst or consulting experience.
  • Experience in analyzing large amounts of complex data and creating predictive models.
  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in business, statistics, mathematics, economics, data science, or other related field. Other bachelor’s or graduate degrees will be considered pending past work experience.



  • Analytical aptitude to analyze complex data, find trends, and develop highly accurate statistical predictive models.
  • Communication skills to create reports and give oral presentations that succinctly and simply describe analyses and provide insights into business performance, trends, and future demand.
  • Collaborative mindset to partner with internal stakeholders on developing and using forecasts and other analyses.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Strong proficiency with Tableau, Salesforce, and SAP or similar tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the year.
  • Fluent in English.
