Sr Director, Government Affairs

Location: Beijing, China

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB

Responsible for establishing strategic direction of government affairs, representing the organization's position/value to interact/lobbying with government entities and officials while advocating for the best interests of the organization and facilitate the smooth market access; Also responsible for keeping the company abreast of any legislations that may impact the organization and interpret the possible impacts in order to ensure that management team can adjust the business strategy as necessary.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Design, develop, direct and control organization's government/public relations strategy to enhance the organization's reputation; promote the company value and support the business strategy of the company,

Establish and maintain positive relationships at necessary levels, especially healthcare industry related, of government, public services and other authorities (for example federal, state, provincial, city or local) to facilitate communication and advance the organization's business interest including but not limited to market access, reimbursement, tender or other business activities;

Monitor, analyze and interpret developments in politics and government policy, and advise senior management team to provide opinions on how these trends may impact the organization's business interests

Implement public relations programs, activities, campaigns, events and promotion materials to protect and enhance the organization's reputation and that are effective and appropriate for the intended audience; respond to more complex or escalated enquiries from the public, government, media or other interested parties to ensure that all communications are accurate and appropriate Managing and developing the PGA team to implement the PGA strategies and action plans at the regional levels; Coach other managers and executives to improve their interactions with public, government, media to ensure that all the dealings are conducted ethically, legally and according to the organization's policies and standards; assisting the functional or operational managers to develop and implement the relevant programs or activities that is appropriate for their business needs while in consistent with the overall government/public strategies

KNOWLEDGE, LANGUAGE AND EXPERIENCE

1. Master degree or above
2. At least 8 years' experience of professional government affairs, public relation with experience
in risk management
3. Good command of Mandarin and English in both oral and writing
4. Good team player, cross-function cooperation 
5. Strong leadership and strategic thinking with good interpersonal and Excellent communication skills with external parties, especially government officials
6.Strong networking with Local Authority with good understanding of Complexities PR/GA
