Primary Purpose and Overall Objective of the Job:

Set up the positioning and the marketing strategy of the full bacteriology solution (products, software and services) ensuring the fully integration of the different product lines to accelerate our AMR/AMS impact in the market, growth and profitability for bioMérieux bacteriology business. Lead the strategy by taking into account the various regulatory and legal constraints linked to different markets across the cluster. Manage and promote strategic objectives/initiatives and support new product launches to boost the bacteriology solution in the fields of sepsis and AMR/AMS by leveraging on a solid product/solution positioning, a strong product, market and competition knowledge.


Main Accountabilities:  

  • Develop and/or adapt global strategy to local markets for the bacteriology lines through the delivery and the execution of Marketing Action Plans to ensure a leading position in AMR/AMS and boost strategic lines in the cluster.
  • Set up the positioning, the strategic objectives and their implementation to guarantee the full integration of all bacteriology lines leveraging on IT&Data and available new services to accelerate the impact of our solution to support ASPs and Sepsis management.
  • Define communication initiatives including digital tool integration.
  • Position and promote IT&Data as the backbone of the solution showing the added-value for strengthening the bioMérieux business and strategic priorities.
  • Ensure a solid positioning of new products and define key Marketing initiatives for new launches to re-inforce the bacteriology solution and create new market opportunities.
  • Lead the strategy and the market development collaborating with local/global functions on scientific studies and Medical/Marketing initiatives to ensure the right positioning of the products/solution and their market acceptance.
  • Develop and manage KOLs network and national Associations relations and strengthen a collaborative approach with different stakeholders on strategic actions in the AMR/AMS context to increase the awareness on the in vitro diagnostics role and the bioMérieux bacteriology solution.
  • Analyse the competition offers and the market dynamics to identify new opportunities of growth to sharpen the positioning and differentiation of the bioMérieux bacteriology offer.
  • Analyse and monitor sales evolution and top customers to guide the team and the sales with insights, new opportunities and mitigating the threats.
  • Support and contribute to the regular update of the tender dossiers and Marketing tools.
  • Coordinate Product Manager Bacteriology resource to execute the strategy and achieve the operational/commercial objectives


Typical Studies - Experience, Skills and Qualifications:


  • A scientific degree is required for the role and an experience of more than 5 years in a Marketing position (PM).
  • A previous experience in the Healthcare sector will be a plus.
  • Requested ability of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills – effectively communicate across numerous functional areas and strong public presentation skills required.
  • Strong sense of accountability and follow through
