The Equipment & Spares Supply Chain team is a central team in charge of managing and steering the Supply Chain operations and flows for equipment and spare parts, from product introduction to product discontinuation, including product planning and replenishment, distribution and reverse logistics management, while relying on a global network and multidisciplinary interfaces, with the main objectives of maximizing customer service and optimizing inventories and flows. 

In that role, you will be reported to Supply Chain Equipments and Spares and be based in France, Craponne.


What will be your responsibilities at bioMérieux?


You will lead the Downstream Supply Chain team and operations for products, required for service activity.  In that role you will have a strategic role in managing inventory and replenishment operations  and in driving key transformation projects. You will further interface with other Supply Chain domain and  partner with key business partners, such as Customer Service (global, regional and local), ComOps, Finance, QA, IS…


      • Manage the Downstream Supply Chain team, based in different geographical areas and monitor Downstream Supply Chain activities for spare parts (from International and regional distribution platforms to internal (subsidiaries, Field service..) and external customers.
        • Management and monitoring of team's workload and performance (~ 10 people)
        • Definition of objectives, methods and skills needed, development of Supply chain skills and competencies, in compliance with all applicable regulations and quality procedures
        • Drive of budget/resources for your specific perimeter


      • Act  as a key business partner for Customer Service teams, by endorsing following main roles :
        • Manage inventory and replenishment operations for parts related to service activities ((spare parts and some finished products for Field service only)
        • Ensure robust and sustainable OTIF (On Time In Full) performance for spares on all replenishment and distribution flows including dropship spare countries by optimizing VMI scope, inventory management, phase in & phase out management, transportation solution, distribution, supply chain master data and build supply risk mitigation plan when required
        • Manage and support inventory management on Vendor Inventory management (VMI) flows and any other project related to field execution performance and further develop for export distributors (including SLA / Service level agreement) and guarantee planning and VMI tools data accuracy)
        • Monitor parts consumptions and alerts on any information gathered from the field that can impact the replenishment plan
        • Manage the regional allocation process to FSEs, to subsidiaries and distributors for products and manage stock rebalancing at regional level by returning excess stocks, when required
  • Drive and/or contribute to any projects and initiatives (including continuous improvement actions plan) on your domain and lead a key and transversal project on spare parts management, embedded in Customer Service transformation Program (Service In Motion), targeted at maximizing performance on spares activity


Who are you? 


  • Master’s Degree ideally with specialization in supply chain and/or planning operations
  • Min of 5 years of experience including experience in Supply Chain
  • Experienced in team management, and in projects/change management
  • English fluent
  • Customer / Service Focus : Assess, understand and meet customer expectations & needs and adapt responsiveness to criticity
  • Ability to work on a risk-based approach (risk identification, rank and mitigate) and manage crisis
  • Digital Adoption, by integrating smoothly digital tools in the work environment and manage system basics of systems (including SAP, Advanced planning tool)
  • Good leadership and ability to develop strong business partnering. Communicating in a compelling way and get holistic vision
  • Ability to build network, make decisions, adapt responsiveness to priorities and develop relationship
  • Demonstrating Adaptability to maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes and adapt to environment (cultures, mindsets…)
