We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our Customer Service team! 
 

Reporting to the FSE Manager, you will be part of our great field service engineering team which is made up of 14 engineers spread across UK & Republic of Ireland, who service and maintain our Clinical and Industry customers.  This is a chance to join a great team who are serving our public health mission!


This position will ideally be based in the Greater Manchester area and is a field based position with travel required.

What will your responsibilities be within bioMérieux?

  • Professional handling of customer technical queries related to bioMérieux equipment and systems.
  • Efficient scheduling of field service work to prioritise customer visits accordingly and operate effectively.
  • Maintaining an adequate level of car stock spares in liaison with the Engineering Administration Department and the Engineering Manager.  
  • Maintaining a level of business awareness and communicate potential opportunities and threats to the sales teams or appropriate manager, and encourage others to do the same.
  • Attend training courses locally and internationally as approved by the Engineering Manager, and follow up with Check & Sell assessments, in order to maintain knowledge at a sufficient level to perform one’s duties.
  • Assist the Field Service Manager in projects as required.
  • Complete accurately and in a timely fashion all administrative duties allocated in accordance with the job necessary for the efficient running of the Engineering Department.

 

Who are you? 

  • ONC or HND in mechanical or electronic engineering
  • Previous Service Engineer experience
  • A “can do” attitude and great communication skills
  • Previous experience in the Healthcare industry would be ideal but not necessary as all training is provided
  • A valid UK or Ireland driver’s license is required
