Position Summary:

As an Associate Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for directing, assigning and participating in work activities to meet goals of the department.  You will participate in the direct labor function of the department when necessary providing coaching, feedback, guidance, and training to employees, ensuring an engaged and skilled workforce.

 

Primary Duties:

  1. Establish work teams for overlapping coverage.
  2. Assign tasks to the team in order to meet customer order shipment dates, domestic and international completion dates as driven by customer orders.
  3. Maintain warehouse and work areas following 5S principles. Support Continuous Improvement méthodologies – Lean, Kaizen, etc.
  4. Ensure team is trained according to established procedures.
  5. Ensure compliance with all cGMP, ISO and FDA regulations for all warehouse activities.
  6. Supply and monitor data that measures department performance.
  7. Collect and manage relevant performance indicators for warehouse operations.  Use information to drive performance improvements
  8. Manage physical inventory of all finished goods and raw materials in the warehouse and cooler through cycle counting and physical counts when necessary.
  9. Consistently uphold all company policies and provide understanding of their implication and effectiveness.
  10. Perform full performance management for their employees.
  11. Fill in and perform Departmental Manager’s duties when manager is absent.
  12. Participate and provide input in interviewing, hiring and termination activities.
  13. Provide input to the departmental budget.
  14. Ensure corrective action is implemented when the requirements of a process or procedure cannot be met and or maintained.
  15. Write new procedures as needed.

 

Education and Experience:

  1. Associate's Degree preferred and 5+ years of relevant warehouse experience.
  2. 5+ years of management experience is required. 
  3. Knowledge of OSHA, cGMP, ISO and FDA regulations.
  4. Experience in Material Handling and Inventory management required.
  5. Knowledge of materials management and inventory accuracy principles.
  6. Knowledge of Kaizen and 5S principles.
  7. Shipping and/or receiving experience.
  8. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
  9. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
