bioMérieux, a world leader in in vitro diagnostics, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to help supporting production activities at manufacturing site located in Florence, Italy. Joining the team, you will contribute to industrialization of new products and optimization of existing production processes. You will also sustain product improvements initiatives, supporting technical investigations and identification of corrective actions. You will have opportunity to introduce innovation such as digitalization of existing manufacturing processes.
WHAT WILL BE YOUR REPONSABILITIES ?
Transferring new products to manufacturing, outlining all aspects of production process
Validating and monitoring manufacturing processes
Designing assembly tools and testing tools
Releasing engineering documentation for manufacturing (assembly and testing procedures)
Supporting and training manufacturing operators
Measuring and analyzing defects of manufacturing lines
Proposing and implementing continuous improvements initiatives
Introducing digital transformation into manufacturing processes
Supporting technical leaders: technical investigations, corrective actions, design improvements
Collaborating with other team members and functions (Purchasing, Manufacturing, HSE, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D)
WHO ARE YOU ?
Bachelor’s degree / Master degree in Industrial Engineering area (Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering) with at least 3 years experience in manufacturing, engineering or technical support.
Technical qualifications with consolidated work experience are encouraged to apply
Hands-on technical experience and attitude are strongly preferred
Keen on product and process improvement
Fluent in English, able to manage written and oral communication with mother-tongue colleagues
Fluent in Italian
Knowledge of product design fundamentals (mechanics, electronics)
Familiar with manufacturing processes and quality controls
Able to master technical problem solving methodologies
Hands-on technical attitude
Continuous improvement mindset and familiar with Lean principles
Team player, self-starter
Language: Italian (fluent), English (fluent)
