Basic Information :

 

bioMérieux develops and produces in vitro diagnostic solutions (systems, reagents, software and services) for private and hospital laboratories, mainly for the diagnosis of infectious diseases. The results obtained from a patient sample (blood, urine, stool, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, etc.) provide doctors with information to support their decisions.

 

For 25 years, bioMérieux has also applied the expertise acquired in the clinical sector to meeting industrial microbiology needs, making it possible to manage contamination risks in agri-food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, at each step of the production chain.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic Supply chain supervisor to join our team in Greece, in the context of growing business and changing environment.

 

Main accountability :

 

As a supervisor, your role will be to coordinate that supply chain operations run as smoothly as possible, from departure of our International Distribution center in France, to the delivery to customers on the Greek market. This includes both finding quick solutions for issues that may arise, but as well working structural improvements to correct issues at the root and build a continuously more reliable chain.

As the key supply chain Greek contact, you will be accountable for:

  • On-Time-in-Full delivery of our public-health customers

  • Adequate replenishment flows and stock levels to be held in Greece

  • Relationship and performance follow-up with our 3PL partners for warehousing and transport

  • Quality and reliability of communication to customers

  • Interfaces with local sales and marketing managers, finance team, service and support team

  • Mastering SAP use and best practices to optimize our service-level and agility (after training on the tool)

  • Investigating issues that arise on the supply chain, proposal of corrective actions, follow-up of their implementation with rigor and tenacity

Job Environment :

  • A Local family-size team in  the Athens offices (around 30 people)

  • A Regional team work within our “Adriatic” cluster (including the Italian subsidiary)

  • Constant interaction with an international & stimulating network (International distribution center based in France, Shared service center in Poland). Occasional business trips could be considered for initial training & then on a yearly basis.

Management:

  • Your direct manager, the Adriatic Supply Chain manager, is based in the Italian subsidiary

  • In Greece, you will lead other local supply chain employees

Operationnal responsibilities:

 

Expect your role to be “hands-in” into the daily operations, and multi-tasking. More specifically you will :

  • Secure daily stock levels, flows and movements

  • Ensure the daily monitoring of stock levels & replenishments from French hub, to identify any stock level alerts that could hinder our capacity to deliver customers on-time-in-full

  • Mitigate daily issues that occur on the logistics chain & put at risk our customer commitment, by finding short-term solutions, working on root-causes

  • Coordinate interface with our 3rd-Party-Logistics partner in charge of Warehouse & Shipping:

    • Ensure alignment of our objectives

    • Ensure day-to-day accuracy and alignment of inventory interfaces

    • Monitoring of daily electronic interfaces

    • Performance follow-up

    • Logistics complaints monitoring

  • Monitor Master data for systems optimization (supply parameters for replenishment, for customer deliveries…)

  • Coordinate specific flows: specific needs from customers, exports to other countries

  • Back-up customer facing activities such as customer calls and complaints

And also, you will contribute to some projects to develop our supply chain activities:

  • Develop supply chain services offer, in alignment with corporate & regional partners, & with specific inputs from Greek business

  • Optimization of regional flows

  • Launches & discontinuations of portfolio with sales & marketing

  • Carbon footprint reduction

  • Continuous improvement of our flows & organization

  • Coordination of local supply chain activities

Essential Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain, including warehousing and customer service ideally

  • Previous experience cooperating with 3PL partners

  • Excellent command in Microsoft office (excel)

  • Good knowledge with ERP – experience with SAP will be highly appreciated

  • Strong communication skills to proactively inform adequate stakeholders, when issues are arising

  • Very good English (verbal & written)

  • Customer-orientation, to understand what are the market needs & looking to respond efficiently

  • Enthusiasm for logistics matters, having a supply chain culture

  • Capacity to find quick solutions and decide rapidly

  • Capacity to work both on short term and long term

  • Capacity to analyze root causes

  • Capacity to work under pressure

  • Rigor and proven organizational skills
