Field System Engineer - Austin/San Antonio, TX

Primary Purpose and Overall Objective of the Job:

  • Technical support of bMx’s instruments through Preventive Maintenance and Curative Maintenance
  • Guarantee towards our customers about the good functioning of our equipment
  • Support customer by phone for prompt response
  • Management of individual spare parts inventory
  • Cover Instruments install base in the area of his accountability
  • Establish P.M. Contracts in the area of his accountability
  • Achieve the yearly indicators of the department and strongly support the pillars of BioMerieux.

 

Main Accountabilities:

  • Installation / Un-installation instruments

  • Troubleshooting instruments (visit or over phone or by tele-maintenance)

  • Maintenance placed instruments and instruments under contract

  • Provide the customers with technical information and services related to our instruments (e.g. Remote access )

  • Good spare parts handling (Order planning / using)

  • Reporting to the SE manager (feedback)

  • Complains handling and managing.

 

Studies and Experience:

  • Experience in biomedical applications

  • Engineering degree

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Able to use and work with tools and hardware 

  • Computer skills

  • Communication skills. Able to work as a part of a team

  • Planning skills
