Primary Purpose and Overall Objective of the Job:

Participate in the development of biological or chemical protocols, as part of a research, development or support program, in the execution of laboratory test, in the creation of databases and in the management of a strain bank or a serum bank, while respecting deadlines and Quality Assurance and Safety standardas in force. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out biologicial or chemical experiments, for one or several subjects. Participate in the preparation of experimental protocols.
  • Analyze the results of the experiments, participate in their interpretation and synthesis.
  • Write experimental reports and/or enter the information required to feed databases or technical reports. Take part in the oral presentation of the results, as can be required from time to time.
  • Participate in the implementation of Quality Assurance procedures, safety rules and apply them.
  • Participate in exchanges with other departments (Production, Quality Control, Industrial Development( involved in the Research and Developement process of a product
  • Participate in the training of newcomers and collaborators and in the evolution of Quality and Safety Assurance procedures.
  • Manage the equipment, see to the proper functioning of laboratories and propose actions for continuous improvement.

 

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Chemistry or Biochemistry (Junior or Senior level of college)
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience
  • Execution of operations
  • Scientific knowledge: Be able to resolve routine problems
  • Technical knowlege: Solving routine problems
  • IT/work tool: Understand the basic elements
  • Draft Documents
