Product Manager bioFire Nordic countries

The mission of the position holder is to carry out marketing activities for the bioMérieux product range (BioFire), including reagents, instruments, software and services.  This is a combination of product and strategic marketing management.  This role is based in NORDICS. 

 

Main Accountabilities:

 

  • Ensure Marketing support for  the NORDICS and contribute to the achievement of the sales budget of the allocated Product range through strategic Marketing management (Marketing excellence process). as well as operational Product Marketing activities (forecast, back order management, launch files).
  • Develop Marketing Plans. Prepare Sales Budget for the relative product and defend it to the Marketing Manager. Control costs, revenues and profitability for the relative products
  • Use your time in the field to prepare arguments and to test market before a product launch.
  • Support the other functions within the organisation, in order to back up the offer designed by Marketing;  check that the plan and organisation of these functions are adequate to deliver the designed offer. (sales forecasts, logistic, sales administration etc.).
  • Interact with the Sales force (co-visits/and or working independently 40% of days in field), Global Marketing and participate at Sales meetings, Corporate meetings, local and international congresses.
  • Launch of new products/instrument/services following the launch template.  Take ownership of these launches and when ready transfer the knowledge to the sales force.
  • Develop a network with Key Opinion Leaders and Visionary Leaders
  • Act as an ambassador for bioMérieux with Internal and External customers.

 

Exprerience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Studies/experience: Higher scientific education, several years’ experience and understanding of mainstream clinical molecular diagnostics and microbiology techniques. Proven Scientific Marketing and Sales background. Good knowledge of the competition.
  • Knowledge of our customers (public/private laboratories) & local reimbursement mechanisms, operating within a highly regulated CE/IVD compliant diagnostic marketplace
  • Skills and qualifications: Knowledge of MS Office, able to understand molecular microbiology/ virology  workflow, able to discus with KOL and KVL as peers, able to organize local meetings, develop local study evaluation protocols, able to work in an international environment
  • Minimum 2 years sales and Marketing experience, emotionally intelligent, a flexible and team player, analytical thinking, strong customer focus & result oriented
  • Strong communication skills, able to share the knowledge and enthuse the sales team with the products.  Enthusiastic & highly committed to succeed, organization & planning skills. The product Manager needs to work with a high level of autonomy
  • Must be able to travel as routine across the NORDICS (minimum 40% of time)
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
