What will be your accountabilities?

 

 

At bioMérieux, the mission of Medical Affairs is to advance the value of diagnostic solutions to improve patient outcomes and address medical needs, through innovation & product optimization, evidence generation, and knowledge dissemination.

 

To do that, your main responsibilities & goals will be:

 

  • Strategic Medical Planning:  Serve as visionary and catalyst for strategic medical planning to demonstrate the value of the bioMerieux diagnostic portfolio focused on Immnuoassays and Host Response solutions.  Lead activities to align medical priorities, drive successful outcomes, and communicate medical value.    

 

  • Team and Resource Management: Effectively lead a team of Medical Advisors including recruiting, onboarding, development, coaching, and performance evaluation. Contribute to the resource and budget management process.

 

  • Innovation and Product Development: Provide medical and scientific value inputs to the product requirements and throughout the life cycle management process (feasibility, development, clinical trials supporting registration, and post-commercial launch). Lead contribution to scientific validity, state-of-the-art, performance evaluation, and other product development documentation.

 

  • Vigilance and Quality Management Systems: Provide medical expertise for defining hazard definition and impact, risk analysis, health hazard assessment, post-market surveillance, field action boards, and corrective and preventive actions.

 

  • Medical Intelligence and Leadership: Provide medical leadership and/or sponsor strategic cross-functional initiatives, squads, and integrated functional medical teams. Serve as a global representative working closely with regional, and local Medical Affairs teams and key partners in R&D and commercial functions, and externally with medical professionals, societies, and medical organizations. Collaborate with Peri-& Post-Launch Study (PPLS) Program leader and help in the development of the PPLS roadmap.

 

  • Functional Excellence: Enable agile ways of working, remove barriers, and ensure resource stewardship and optimization. Lead and contribute to ongoing global improvement initiatives in clinical and industry business units.

 

 

 

Who are you?

 

- Minimum required degree is a Master's with a focus in Health Sciences - Advanced degrees preferred M.D., Ph.D., D.V.M., PharmD. MBA desirable.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a team of medical and scientific professionals.

- Minimum of 7 years of practical experience in Acute Care or Critical Care settings, or you have a cross-sectional exposure or expertise in one or many areas linked to the immunology-based diagnosis including acute kidney injury, traumatic brain injury, cardiac markers, sepsis markers, and infectious diseases.

- You hold excellent knowledge of the hospital/ clinical/ medical environment and are able to challenge medical needs and assess hazards associated with patient care.

- Demonstrated success in communicating medical and scientific outcomes through scholarly achievements with a proven publication track record.

- You are fluent in English with excellent scientific writing and oral communication skills.

 

 

Travel: 15-20% domestic and international
