Our Global Marketing department is looking for a Competition and Market Intelligence Manager, under a permanent contract, to join the Strategic Marketing team.
You will be reporting to the VP Global Strategic Marketing within a team of 13 team members.

 

What will be your mission at bioMerieux?

You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, structuring and disseminating information related to the In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) market and the activities of bioMerieux's competitors. 

 

  • Develop and lead cross-functional processes for understanding and analyzing bioMerieux's competitors and their products 

    • Define and update competitor identity maps

    • Analyze and predict the impact of competitors' movements on bioMerieux (organization of war gaming, scenario planning)

  •  Contribute to the competitive intelligence at the company level

  • Share within the company the possible movements of the competition

  • Understand, analyze and share data and trends on different markets and therapeutic areas of interest (e.g. respiratory, gastrointestinal infections etc.)

  • Utilize multiple sources of information, including external databases, data collected from market studies conducted within the team, etc.

  • Interact and collaborate with various stakeholders within the company (e.g. marketing, investor relations, corporate strategy, R&D etc.)


Who are you?

  • 5 years of higher education in science and/or business

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business (e.g. consulting, marketing), internal audit or other profession with a strong analytical component

  • Experience in competitive intelligence is a plus

  • Proficiency in evaluating and quantifying market opportunities is a plus

  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams

  • Knowledge of the In Vitro Diagnostics market for infectious diseases is a plus

  • International experience is a plus

  • Ability to use Excel

  • Fluent in English

  • Good analytical skills; you have the ability to understand technically complex subjects and to produce simplified analysis

  • Good communication and presentation skills; ability to simplify messages and share information within the company

  • You have a sense of priorities and good organizational skills to structure a process

  • You are autonomous and proactive

  • You have a collaborative mindset

  • Occasional travels (France and abroad)
