Position Summary:

Using good aseptic lab practices, is responsible for supporting performance testing and physical inspections of finished good lots as well as internal use only lots through set up of VITEK2 cards.  This position performs environmental testing and ensures proper documentation according to cGMP’s and current procedures.  Performs all duties using safety conscious practices. 


Primary Duties:

  1. Performance testing per procedure and schedule  
  2. Perform physical inspections of finished goods per procedure and schedule 
  3. Label cages with product disposition 
  4. Manage Reserve Samples  
  5. Perform applicable lab cleaning and maintenance 
  6. Inventory management 
  7. Support Final QC and other projects as requested by management 
  8. Environmental Monitoring 


Education and Experience:

Requires a 4-year degree in biology or related field.  

Experience in a microbiology lab is preferred.  


Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  1. Requires strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word, etc.).  
  2. Must be able to demonstrate flexibility in responding to unexpected demands.  Must also be able to work in team environment, building effective working relationships.
