As a Field Scientist you are one of the key players of the commercialization of innovative technologies for quality control of the vaccines and cell & gene therapies. These fast growing markets need accurate, easy to use and robust technologies to accelerate their drug development process and reduce time-to-market. With your scientific expertise in immunology, biochemistry and immunoassay development, you will support the Strategic Accounts Managers during the pre-sales activities. You will be the first point of contact of our customers for scientific, technical and application support.

Within the Global Industry Customer Service (GiCS) department, you will be part of the Pharma QC application specialists and service engineers team.

Your mission :

• Assist sales team and customers with technical guidance to provide appropriate solutions and set-up experimental requirements.
• Provide high level support for customers, both in person and remotely  
• Provide in-field product expertise to support sales discussions with current and prospective customers
• Propose contract research services to demonstrate product performance. Report results and work with internal scientists to develop effective experimental plans that address customer’s needs.
• Demonstrate product advantages to customers via technical seminars and consultative discussions.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers in assigned territory.
• Together with the business leader and the sales team, develop trustful relationships with customers at different level of their organization.
• Collaborate internally with the business leader and marketing organization to assess value proposition, and generate and promote scientific content.
• Update Salesforce CRM system regularly and provide reports and information as requested.
• Regular field travel for conferences, installations or trainings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who are you ?

• Preferred Doctorate Degree in Immunology, Biochemistry, or equivalent area. Or minimum of Master’s degree with several years of experience in analytical developments in the pharmaceutical industry.
• 3+ years of hands-on laboratory experience with immunoassays development for protein and nucleic acid analysis
• Strong understanding of the vaccine potency assay tests and experience in drug development environments and/or quality controls in bioproduction.
• Familiar with data and statistical analysis and experimental design
• Curious with aptitude for creativity and problem-solving.
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills, particularly in technical writing. Proficiency in French is a plus.
• Loves to teach and talk about science. Good communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel as necessary (travel up to 30% in Europe)

Other skills

• Familiarity with technologies for protein characterization and molecular biology and others is a plus.
• Previous experience providing Applications/Technical support desired.
• Proven customer orientation and sales acumen
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Salesforce CRM software.
