The successful Candidate will be required to achieve and exceed sales targets of allocated territory, account management of product ranges or services by driving new business revenue with existing and potentnial customers.
What will you duties be?
- Successfully maintain the current business and find opportunities to grow new business in the assisted region
- Achieve Sales and Growth targets for Gauteng (Pretoria and Centurion), Nelspruit, North West , Free-State ; Public and Private market
- Efficient sales opportunity pipeline management
- Regular CRM tool management
- Required to do country trips to the Free-State, Nelspruit, North West , every 6 weeks
- Participation in the annual sales budgeting and territory strategy planning sessions
- Input on strategic and operational requirements. Reviewing historical trends, identifying growth opportunities and annual preparation of strategies for assigned Key Accounts
- Development of key relationships with territory Pathologist, heads of department , procurement and C-Suite teams (Essential)
- Ensure that all key accounts are generating revenue at the required profitability percentages
- Building long term strategic relationships with the public sector (NHLS)
- Holding quarterly meetings with the NHLS Business Manager and other public sector C-Suite stakeholders as the customer facing representative of BioMerieux
- Working with the product managers, sales manager, finance and supply chain to develop and implement the most effective and efficient strategies for assigned Key Accounts by reviewing the bioMerieux strategy, undertaking customer analysis, determining the best approach per key account
- Develop the mid and long-term growth strategy for the assigned Key Accounts
- Initiate and implement promotional activities by engaging with Marketing, providing inputs and designing activities, submitting for approval and implementing as required
- Grow business by reviewing the existing business environment, identifying and exploring possible opportunities and implementing plans as required
- Proactively respond to market changes by actively monitoring the market, tracking customer movements and developing trends that can be integrated into solutions
- Provide customer support (internal and external) by maintaining customer focus, undertaking specific needs analysis and determining specific customer requirements on an ongoing basis
- Manage correct and effective brand awareness at customer sites and offices by reviewing customer requirements, identifying opportunities, sourcing appropriate materials and placing with customers as required
- Liaise with bioMerieux support functions and coordinate actions effectively to continuously improve the level of customer service excellence
The successful candidate will need to have:
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) or Bachelor of Technology (BTech) or equivalent Science Degree - Required
- Bachelor Commerce (BCom) or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) – Highly advantageous
- Minimum 5 years work experience in diagnostics OR previous work experience in a laboratory - Required
- Minimum 10 years medical sales experience or Key Account Management experience or Business Development experience -Required
- Proven track record in capital equipment sales - Required
- Proven track record of sales achievement - Required
