This part-time position (50%) is based in Marcy, Campus de l’Etoile. The position is to be filled as soon as possible. The successful candidate will remain an employee of bioMérieux and will be made available to the Endowment Fund on a part-time basis.

 

The bioMérieux Endowment Fund for Education was created in December 2020 with an initial endowment of 20 million euros. It works to promote equal opportunity with the ambition of reducing inequalities through and within education to enable everyone to find their place in the world.

The Endowment Fund supports initiatives, organizations and projects in the field of Early Childhood Education (children aged 0 to 8), in countries where bioMérieux is present.

 

Its operational management is under the responsibility of a Program Officer.

 

The Endowment Fund is very active, already supporting 20 new projects selected late 2022 to be kicked-off and closely monitored throughout in 2023, while guaranteeing good management of its operations.

 

To achieve this objective, we are looking for a legal and accounting administrative manager.

 

Reporting to the Program Officer, you will:

 

  • keep track and follow-up on invoices, donations, and payments, and coordinate the accounting activities of the Endowment Fund in liaison with the accounting firm
  • Facilitate the production of the Endowment Fund's financial statements with the support from the accounting firm and the Auditor
  • Prepare the annual budget in collaboration with the program officer
  • Liaise with our law firm for all legal matters, such as the drafting and signature of all contracts initiated by the Endowment Fund and the legal secretariat
  • Centralize and process all requests related to administrative and financial activities, stay up-to-date with the latest obligations and legislative changes with the referring experts (accounting and legal firms)
  • Develop, implement and optimize the Fund's administrative management procedures
  • On occasions, help with the management of supported projects
  • Provide support to communications team/activities
  • On an ad hoc basis, coordinate certain events (travel reservations, meeting rooms, receptions, agenda, etc.)

 

Who are you?

  • First experience in accounting follow-up and management of administrative tasks
  • Knowledge of the main legal, tax and accounting standards of an endowment fund or a strong desire to improve your skills in this area
  • Contractual drafting and writing skills
  • Proficiency in office software, particularly Excel
  • Organization and rigor
  • Proactive, ability to provide proposals/recommendations
  • Autonomy
  • Written communication skills
  • Fluent in French / English
  • interest in legal and accounting fields
  • Interest in solidarity/philanthropy issues
