Service Solutions Sales Representative

Position Summary:

The purpose of this job is to maintain and establish growth of the current service agreement base and create new business opportunities through conversion of service expirations to sold service contracts leading to increased revenues for the company. The Service Solution Specialist is directly responsible for achieving the territory sales goals and maintaining existing customers within a territory as defined by bioMerieux. Conducts telemarketing activities, such as contacting customers who do not have service contracts and sells the value of our contract offerings. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Execute sales process and business plan to achieve or exceed territory growth per company plan and drive revenue through converting contract expirations into sold service agreements.
    • Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of the bioMerieux, Inc. Quality System.
    • Develop Service Contract offering quotation.
    • Drive new business revenue through converting contract expirations into sold service contracts and maintain existing customer business to minimize lost service agreement business.
    • Articulate service contract value proposition to customers.
    • Manage pipeline to ensure timing of closes matches Monthly Forecast.
    • Develop strategy and individual actions to close sales of all High Value targets.
    • Monitor monthly sales as reported for accuracy and adjust action plans to account for shortages towards goal achievement.
  • Establish and maintain communications with field sales, field service and customers to ensure attainment of customer satisfaction and to ensure service contracts are closed on a timely basis.
  • Administer Service Contract Quotes
    • Maintain customer records in Service Agreements database on a daily basis for all accounts in their territory.
    • Submit a complete and accurate Bookings Package (including Billing Cover Sheet, Quote and PO) to Finance on timely basis.
    • Assist Finance in administering contract entitlements as needed.
    • Assist customer and internal teams with resolving billing disputes.
    • Support audits by maintaining and updating customer data as requested.
  • Provide expertise/assistance as required in sales process.
    • Support and/or deliver key sales presentations/demonstrations where required for selling service.
    • Communicate with customers on service contract issues where required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Studies and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
    • BS/BA desired, degree in science/business related field preferred.
  • Previous service sales and/or telemarketing experience is preferred.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional sales and organizational skills - detail-oriented.
  • Exceptional communications skills – written and verbal.
  • Exceptional customer interaction skills.
  • Mature and pleasant telephone demeanor.
  • Familiarity with computerized information management systems (SAP and Salesforce are preferred).
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong basic office and computer software applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc.) skills.
  • Good problem solving, conflict resolution and decision making abilities.
  • Math and basic finance skills
  • Self-starter and ability to work with little supervision.
  • Knowledge of service contract offering and sales process preferred
  • Strong skillset in multi-tasking (i.e. daily email/telephone requests (internally/externally); along with supporting administrative duties as required)
  • Adaptable to change
