Position Summary:
The Supplier Quality (SQ) Intern is responsible for supporting Supplier Management activities at the Durham facility. The intern will work alongside, and in support of the Supplier Quality and Incoming Inspections department. The SQ Intern will be supervised and mentored by the Associate Director, Supplier Quality and Incoming Quality and Quality Engineers in the Quality Organization. Interaction with various Project Leaders and cross functional teams will occur on a daily basis during the internship period.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
- Support documentation filing and data entry for the Supplier Quality and Incoming Inspection groups
- Support procedure updates by creating redlined documents in conjunction with a Supplier Quality team member
- Support Supplier related nonconformities by pulling data or gathering applicable information under the direction of a Supplier Quality team member
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must have reached Sophomore level status or later
- Majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Operations preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Should be able to work within a team framework and must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
