Postion Summary:

This position will perform general maintenance of equipment in a regulated FDA manufacturing environment for the production and packing of VITEK 2 cards. The position will perform the operation, preventative maintenance, and trouble-shooting of high speed equipment.

 

Line Maintenance Technician 2nd shift (M-F) 2 pm-10:00pm

 

Responsibilities:

  • Complete Preventive and Corrective Maintenance work orders independently for the different equipment groups.
  • Inspect and maintain machines to prevent future failures or restore to serviceable and acceptable operating conditions.
    • Executing maintenance procedures
    • Monitoring operations
    • Recording maintenance activities
  • Trace errors within machine operations.
    • Exercising equipment
    • Checking inputs and outputs
    • Documenting findings
  • Check Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE) to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and reproducibility.
    • Taking measurements in accordance with standardization procedure
    • Cleaning and adjusting M&TE
  • Select and use appropriate Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE) to measure industrial equipment and component conditions in an accurate, repeatable, and reproducible manner.
    • Taking measurements
    • Recording results of measurements
  • Miscellaneous
    • Follow proper procedures and techniques including to adhere to company and OSHA safety guidelines
    • Establish good documentation practices, including an understand of good manufacturing practices, ISO, and quality system regulations are required to be followed.
    • Use CMMs software correctly by complete pms, enter urgent work orders, attach parts, attach labor, search for parts.Complete all scheduled training on time
    • Navigation of finding documents and drawings in the applicable system
    • Support Total Productive Maintenance activities by being an active participant, when applicable
    • Be accessible to people on the plant floor to discuss problems and ideas.
    • Maintain good relationships with Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Facilities Maintenance.
    • Work overtime as needed to ensure the required labor resource needs are met.
    • Reliable attendance and punctuality is an essential job function required for this position.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Technical degree in a manufacturing technology discipline such as industrial controls, logic programming,/manufacturing processes or 2 years of experience working in the technicial/mechanical field or in manufacturing environment.
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of automation controls.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment involving mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic hardware.
  • Knowledge of understand good manufacturing practices (GMP’s), ISO, and quality system regulations is preferred.
