Primary Purpose and Overall Objective of the Job:

Is responsible for the overall sales and release volume signals across many different horizons for his or her brand.  Is responsible for end-to-end stock level and shelf life management over the finished products portfolio, in order to reach target service level at optimized costs.  In addition this role will be a lead on the planning and demand domain of a multi-distribution center projected located in the United States.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Consolidates, analyzes, and challenges forecasts for the brand in an effort to assure high demand accuracy and protect service levels to our customers.  Understands major evolutions.  Builds scenarios to include risks and opportunities.  Drives the transition to integrated business planning collaborative tactics. 
  • Manages visibility across different horizons: prepares current-year last best estimate for sales and releases, budgeted year+1 vision, and strategic 5-year vision. Drives and prepares the brand demand and S&OP meetings.
  • Leads life cycle management governance for the brand: promoting awareness, proposing forecast profiles, etc.
  • Acts as key user on the sales volume forecasting tool: assuring system data accuracy, selecting best fitting statistical modeling, and driving any cleansing. 
  • In line with strategies defined in S&OP, computes SLA stock parameters to be met within international distribution centers warehouses; ensures that they are respected and completes routine reviews and updates. In collaboration with subsidiaries and VMI, computes subsidiary SLA and validates any change of it. 
  • Based on sales forecasts, provides manufacturing sites of his/her perimeter with the netted unconstrained demand signal. Prioritizes and checks production plan consistency; arbitrates amongst the operational scenarios whenever necessary. Leads the Supply Review meeting and participates actively to the respective brand S&OP.
  • Proposes, validates and puts in place a distribution strategy. Is responsible for the air/sea ratio.
  • Tracks medium-term scrap and back-order risks and drives related mitigation efforts and central allocations. Communicates supply risks following standard procedures (Warning list, …).
  • Support cutover planning and the implementation with master data settings for SLA’s, SAP, FluidE, and OMP.
  • Host workshops, steer process decisions and definitions, and assure adherence to the project roadmap adhering to implementation timing plans
  • Understand and characterize project risks, implement mitigation levers as needed, share with key partners
  • Develop roles and responsibilities and dimensioning of future workloads for impacted teams related to project topics
  • Provide support with UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for the workspace package.
  • Aid in the development of the training plan and roll out training to impacted users. Share best practices.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain preferred 
  • Ability to make or influence decisions

  • Business acumen, financial risks understanding
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Practical experience of multilevel planning principles and tools (SAP understanding, MRP, OMP)
  • Understanding of manufacturing, logistics and transport key drivers and constraints
  • Excel skills: intermediate or advanced
  • Experience leading projects
