We are looking for a Field Application Specialist (Food & Pharma Industry) to join our Central Europe Customer Service team! This position is responsible for providing the effective and efficient technical support, customer training, troubleshooting and consultation to internal and external customers for the implementation and/or maintenance of bioMérieux systems. The Field Application Specialist will also coordinate efforts with other cross-functional departments to provide world-class customer service and support through the promotion of teamwork and a cooperative spirit.
This position will be based in Switzerland with approximately 70%-80% of the time in the field, covering the whole of Switzerland and occassionally international travel.
What will your responsibilities be within bioMérieux?
• Customer service for sales products and services in the field (trouble shooting and after-sales service, device customer support for the assigned device lines, demonstrations and laboratory integrations).
• Carrying out the trial installation of assigned lines in the assigned customer segment
• Development of concepts for the automated processing of microbiological samples and adaptation of the laboratory routine to the diagnostic lines
• Integration of assigned lines in the assigned customer segment into the laboratory routine through regular support visits.
• Implementation of training measures on site at the customer in close coordination with sales Hotline
• Implementation of internal training measures in close coordination with marketing and the Hotline training management
• Supervision of studies on site in close coordination with the responsible marketing manager
• Independent on-site troubleshooting at system customers' assigned lines in the assigned customer segment or upon request by the field service via the coordination office
• Registration of customer interventions in CRM
Who are you?
Studies and Experience
• Degree in biology / food technology etc. (BA), preferably in the field of the product scope
• Alternatively education as Lab Technician in a routine Laboratory
• Experience in life science 3 years minimum
Skills and Qualifications:
• Good knowledge of lab environment
• International mindset, ability to adjust in multicultural environment, good relational skills
• Good ability for communication, team work and organization, networking within and outside the company
• IT skills – knowledge of system integration
Language:
• Fluent in German and French
• Good level of English
