What will your responsibilities be within bioMérieux?
Reporting to the Market Access Manager North Europe, the Clinical Implementation Manager (CIM) will act as a clinical resource to demonstrate and promote the clinical value of bioMérieux products and solutions to physicians & other healthcare providers by supporting their implementation within the hospital or healthcare environment, in order to improve patient outcomes, provide real-world evidence, educate, and promote demand & prescription.
These are field based positions with approximately 50% travel expected. One position will cover the South England, Midlands and Wales territory and the other will cover North England, Scotland, and Ireland territory.
Main Accountabilities include:
- Support the commercialization of diagnostic tests and solutions, and actively contribute to reaching our company sales goals by providing clinical expertise necessary to promote their adoption and use while working with the sales and marketing teams
- Demonstrate the clinical and economic value of our high medical value products and solutions by providing education to physicians-nurses-pharmacy staff & other healthcare providers, and performing clinical presentations in relevant hospital departments and at pertinent medical events
- Enable our customers in fully utilizing the clinical potential of our products & identify and formulate clinical case studies
- Work with internal stakeholders (such as the Account Manager) to assist implementation of our products and protocols to maximise our product utility
- Assist in field based activities of bioMérieux teams and clinical knowledge: business workforce training, report satisfaction & needs & market trends, assist in executing a retention plan at critical accounts, and cooperate with Marketing representatives and Medical Affairs
- Analyse strategic decision makers in the hospital and understand customer needs to target and grow sales
- Lead development of clinician network and other relevant HCPs, and capitalize on relationship opportunities for cross selling bioMérieux products & services
- Participate in educational and promotional initiatives (e.g. trade shows and congresses, symposia and other medical events)
- Support the operational aspects of clinical studies which demonstrate the value of our products and solutions through real-world evidence
Who are you?
- Strong clinical and scientific background, with degree in Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, or related healthcare field is essential. Additional post-graduate Scientific, Health Economics, and/or Business-related degree is highly desirable
- Minimum two years relevant industry experience in a similar role is essential
- Demonstrated knowledge or experience in Market Access, HEOR, and Sales (gained from consulting or the pharmaceutical/biotech industry) is desirable
- Large network of relevant clinicians (such as ICU, paediatricians, Emergency Department), or proven experience in building stakeholder networks
- Familiarity with infectious disease diagnosis, treatment, clinical microbiology and patient pathway is essential. Area knowledge should include at least one of the following: respiratory conditions, pneumonia, meningitis encephalitis, antimicrobial resistance and stewardship, sepsis
- Experience and/or knowledge in emergency or critical care along with a solid professional reputation for interacting productively with these HCPs in the field
- Proven experience of working with a sales team; knowledge-sharing, supporting, and helping develop sales strategy is desirable
- Emotionally intelligent, customer-focused, results-oriented, and strong analytical and decision making skills
- Product knowledge and ability to develop scientific communication, stakeholder meetings, and promotional initiatives
- Proactive approach with proven ability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Valid UK/Ireland driver’s licence is mandatory
