The Field Application Specialist  will provide solution-oriented consultative training, technical support, and troubleshooting at customer sites on bioMerieux’s Industry product lines.  The FAS will effectively work with customers to achieve efficient implementation and go live of new instruments and Industry solutions,  retain current customer business, while developing and strengthening customer relationships that result in customer loyalty and positive referrals.  The Field Application Specialist promotes teamwork and cooperation, removes barriers to productivity, and creates an enthusiastic, positive work environment. 

 

*This will be a field based located in the New England area covering the Boston, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Southern New York areas

 

Main Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate and provide technical training, consultation and ongoing support of bioMérieux’s Industry Pharma/Healthcare products within the U.S. 
  • Answer internal and external customer inquiries and ensure regulatory compliance through timely and accurate documentation in CRM system; consulting as appropriate with Application Specialist, System Engineer, Management, Regional Support HUB, Global Customer Support and Customer Support Industry (CSI).
  • Provide consistent follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and meet minimum key performance indicators.
  • Responsible for efficient territory management within operating expense budget.
  • Support bioMérieux revenue initiatives, including revenue variance management with key customers.Provide mentoring, coaching, training, certification and onboarding support of other bioMérieux employees.

 

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in medical technology, technical or life science field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of Pharma or related laboratory experience in Microbiology preferred
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, able to work independently, effectively multitask to meet deadlines and competing priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficient in Windows OS, MS Office programs, bioMérieux policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Exhibit sound decision-making ability, including problem resolution and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills, excellent verbal and written capabilities. 
  • English fluency required and Spanish language capability is a plus
