What are your main missions?
Provide medical and scientific value inputs to the product requirements and throughout the development of molecular biology products (feasibility, development, peri-launch).
Key accountabilities:
- Provides clinical leadership in cross-functional projects and product/project teams
- Lead contribution to scientific validity, state-of-the-art, performance evaluation, and other product development documentation.
- Provides input into Risk Management reviews as it relates to patient safety, the performance of risk assessment in the design of clinical studies, and the interpretation of patient safety and risk in the post-market environment
- Build the product medical plan including the Global Medical Affairs strategy
- Develops training modules and materials, and provides training in disease states across the Company
- Provide medical insight into promotional material along with learning materials for internal and external use
- Interacts and maintains relationships with external thought leaders
- Assist with scientific advisory board activities
- Cooperates with cross-functional medical team members in the different countries
- Collaborates with functional areas outside of medical including clinical affairs, marketing, sales, market access, legal, regulatory, and research and development.
- Attends training lectures, symposia and conferences in order to maintain up-to-date level of knowledge and expertise.
What is your profile?
Training & Education :
- Master’s Degree/PhD in a scientific field with clinical emphasis
- Fluent English mandatory and one European language
Experience & Skills :
- Minimum 5 years of industry or clinical microbiology experience with a clinical exposure (experience using IVD products)
- Strong clinical background – lab process experience is a plus
- Familiarity with infectious disease diagnosis, treatment and/or microbiology/virology methods is desirable
- Willingness to demonstrate clinical value of our products
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and summarize complex critical and medical literature data. Critical thinking skills related to data are a must
- Excellent writing skills
- Extensive experience with Microsoft word, PowerPoint and excel
- Highly organized and motivated individual with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives in a self-sufficient manner
- The successful candidate must have the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, have excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
- Curiosity and continuous learning spirit
- Ability to travel internationally (15%)
