As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a vital role onsite with our customers. Leading the installation and maintenance activities, you will work with customers to troubleshoot issues and ensure safe and compliant diagnostic operations. You will be the onsite expert, continually developing your knowledge and skills to deliver innovative solutions for customers.
The Field Service Engineer role is the key customer representative, responsible for confirming, clarifying and meeting the customer’s expectations at every stage of contact. The person performing this role provides repair, installation, troubleshooting and general support for equipment installed at customer facilities in the North East Area of Italy.
The person performing this role is results oriented, operates with a sense of urgency and sets his priorities in accordance with the needs of the company and the customer. A key expectation of this role is to present a self-confident and competent impression to the customer.
Performs preventive maintenance interventions, hardware and software upgrades on bioMérieux systems.
Installs bioMérieux systems at customer laboratories.
Implements field corrective actions and to fix customer issues or to improve system performance.
Provides on-call support coverage as needed.
Keeps up to date on administrative activities, such as recording work orders in a timely manner and ordering spare parts.
Keeps up to date with the latest instrument updates.

Bachelor degree in electrical/Electronics/biomedical engineering or High School Diploma in electrical/Electro-mechanics technology.
At least 3 years of work experience as field engineer. Job experience in in the diagnostic field or equivalent is preferred.
Language requirements: Italian and English at least B1 level.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office. Skills in Salesforce are appreciated.
Ability to travel up to 85% of the time.
