Your mission as a Product Specialist AST Belgium will be to promote the company's Microbiology offer and ensure the customer's installation, connection, and training to the proper use of the instrument within the specified deadlines, while respecting the specific procedures. Follow-up the installed base in order to consolidate and develop a reactive turnover (optimization of the use of the reagents with the objective of customer satisfaction).
Provide field scientific support & services, including sales & technical tender support, training, qualification, field actions deployment at all stages of bMx solutions life cycle management, guarantee added value, assess patient result impact.
You will be able to :
Understand the customer's needs, including elements such as socio-economic environment, customer structure and organization, value added, competition
Create, maintain, and develop a network of relationships with influential people with decision-making power (key opinion leaders).
Study, draft and evaluate the technical offer during procurement procedures (public procurement or simple consultations), by taking into account the requirements of the customer
Ensure the implementation of the configurations marketed by the company to the customer, until obtaining the support of the instruments following the specific procedures and suggesting the modifications necessary to optimize these implementations.
Ensure customer satisfaction by follow-up visits to the installed base
Provide feedback to all relevant stakeholders (sales managers, product managers, etc.) on all the information gathered in the field: prices and offers from competitors, new products ... And, through service reports, trace any useful and necessary information to internal departments (complaints, competition, use of reagents, satisfaction or customer dissatisfaction, etc.).
Provide (scientific) support to customers through in-depth product knowledge and with support of Global & regional teams
Support the implementation of evaluations according to protocols transmitted by the Marketing department in collaboration with medical affairs (multicentric study ...), if necessary
Make organizational recommendations regarding the equipment in order to optimize the workflow, address three dimensions: technical, quality and productivity
Shared tasks with Field application specialist Microbiology:
Provide technical (routine) training and on-going support on bioMérieux solutions
Answer internal & external customer inquiries and ensure compliance with regulatory through timely and accurate documentation in ERP system
Provide consistent customer inquiry follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and meet KPI
Retain business by strengthening customer relationship
Promote bioMérieux solutions - demonstration, evaluations, onsite visits - on both pre and post sales (on demand)
Enable bioMérieux customers in fully utilizing the technical potential of the solutions (interpretation of results, specimen management etc.)
Demonstrate technical expertise which allows to easily take in charge of new products and new technologies
Act as a technical pillar for sub/clusters
Provide mentoring, coaching, advanced training, certification and onboarding support for other bioMérieux employees/newcomers
Who are you ?
Master's Degree in Science / business related to biology, bacteriology or pre-medical or medical studies
Previous experience as Application Specialist preferred. Proficiency in Microbiology.
2 to 5 years of work experience in a laboratory environment or business experience in life sciences
Multi-disciplinary skills; Synthesis spirit in business approach
Relationship and negotiation skills; Autonomy, leadership and rigor in monitoring internal procedures
Objective oriented with strong sense of initiative
Capability to work under pressure
Fully autonomous for supporting products
Customer and solution oriented
Training and coaching capabilities
Good communication and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
