GENERAL KNOWLEDGE
The Mechanical Engineer will work inside Mechanical Design department; he/she will be involved in mechanical design & industrialization activities for the development of new product and for the maintenance of launched product.
Mechanical Engineer will evaluate the right technology to produce components with the right level of quality and at the right cost; he/she will contribute in the production of prototypes in the internal workshop.
Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the selection of HW architectural solutions.
MAJOR TASKS
Contribution in feasibility activities for the development of new products and in the definition of system/sub-assembly mechanical architecture
Design and industrialization of mechanical instrument/sub-assembling /components
Management of external partners
Estimation of component cost and related technological investment cost
Setup and programming of standard CNC (milling and turning machining), 3D printer and waterjet machine for the realization of mechanical prototypes
Assembling of instrument/subassemblies prototypes.
Teamwork
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
University degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Knowledge of technological process for manufacturing of mechanical components
Knowledge of English language
Experience in Mechanical design and/or CNC programming
Knowledge of CAD (Solidworks, Creo or similar)
Knowledge of PDM software (Windchill or similar) is considered a plus
