Summary
Within the Medical Affairs department, responsible and accountable for leading the ASPAC Medical Affairs Operations. This includes the following:
- Effectively managing the daily operations of Medical Affairs department across Asia-Pacific
- Drive KOL engagement and study execution across portfolio / franchise solutions as agreed with Global and Regional Medical Affairs
- He/ She needs to consistently collect external and internal inputs and to work closely with other cross functional team members
- He/ She also needs to be involved in providing insight to the peri- and post-launch activities, which may include studies or evidence generation activities
Main Accountabilities:
- Manage and drive the delivery of Key Opinion Leader (KOL) development plans across Asia-Pacific at the local and regional level, which may include (but not limited to) studies/data generation, advisory board meeting and congress symposium organization
- Manage the CRM tool to ensure the Medical Affairs Interactions (MAIs) submission from the regional and local Medical Affairs Team Members are on track
- Improve and monitor the monthly executable, trackable dashboard to closely monitor all Medical Affairs activities in the region
- Responsible for creation and delivery of regional Medical Affairs SOPs, providing guidance for local Medical Affairs SOPs
- Support medical education strategy around key initiatives and obtain measurable feedback
- Work in complex and multicultural environment. Negotiate frequently on problems/opportunities/challenges with others departments on conflicting objectives.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Medical MD degree or PhD in microbiology/infectious disease/related discipline highly preferred
- He/ She needs to have a minimum of 5-8 years medical affairs experience or in related corporate pharma/in-vitro diagnostics activities/projects
- Skillful in application like CRM or other medical affairs activities tracking tools is desirable
- Experience with conducting Medical affairs related activities and delivering on medical education/training, studies management/ project management
- Understand and present data, as appropriate
- He/ She should be independent, able to manage relationships with colleagues and drive daily operations and delivery of the presentation to management
- Self-motivated, independent and driven by Medical Affairs-related objectives/activities
- Commercial acumen/aptitude is a plus and a proven track record of working cross-functionally with other teams is advantageous
- Has experience of delivery and understand the development of Medical Affairs MAIs/SOPs
- Ability to operate in a complex environment
- A strong team player within the cross cultural ASPAC group. Ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams and work in a matrix environment
- Good communication and presentation skills and ability to deliver complex information into a simplified manner for different audiences
- Analytical and agile mindset. Sense of time and priorities management
- Travel 10-30%
