An exciting vacancy has arisen for a Field Application Specialist role specialising in our Industry products. The Field Application Specialist role is the front-line technical support representative and is responsible for providing solution-oriented consultative training, technical support and troubleshooting at customer site, at every stage of contact on each technical support interaction in the field.

 

This role is 80% field with some support for the local in house team and is based in Ireland. 

You will be working in a team of 5 in the UK & Ireland team as well as working with your Northern European peers. 

 

What will be your responsibilities at bioMerieux? 

  • Provide onsite training for customers on equipment across Ireland
  • Coordinates and delivering technical training
  • Provide technical support for pre-sales activities such as on site product presentations and demonstrations and participate in exhibitions as requested. Perform site evaluations and trials with reports prepared. 
  • Help establish interface and network connections between our systems and customers. 
  • Ensure effective coverage within the Ireland by accurate identification of customer needs, planning and relevant priority visits. 
  • Completes all after- technical support documentation (ERP/CRM) necessary to update the planners, customer
  • administration, customer care
  • Consults and collaborates with Support Centre team, installation project managers, management, GCS, GICS
  • Provides consistent follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and meet key performance indicators(KPIs)
  • Keeps up to date with scientific updates and attend training courses and meetings

  • This role requires someone results oriented, who operates with a sense of urgency and sets priorities in accordance with the needs of the company and the customer.
  • You retain current customer business, by developing and building customer relationships  that result in customer loyalty, retention, renewal and positive referrals.
  • This position requires someone who is a self-starter, with the ability to deliver a customer experience, while working remotely without direct supervision and able to travel within their assigned geographic area on short-notice
  • Microbiology qualification ( BSC above) is essential and experience working in a pharma or food environment.

This role covers the whole of the Ireland
