Position Description
The Associate Software Support System Engineer is responsible for the integration, support, troubleshooting and testing of medical device systems deployed in a customer’s environment. The bioMerieux provided system, incorporates aspects of software, mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineering. The system includes a complex medical instrument, Windows software, and various peripherals and its interaction with external systems.
The Associate Software Support System Engineer is responsible for all or part of coordinating, conducting and documenting expert level customer complaint investigations and reporting findings as part of a quality system record. They will also (with the assistance from development engineering) be responsible for creating and testing workarounds or patches that may be released to address issues that have been assessed to have the potential of a significant customer impact.

The Associate Software Support System Engineer must communicate well with Customer Support Representatives, Project Managers, Program Managers, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Representatives, Marketing, Software, Hardware, Firmware Engineers, Field Engineers, Manufacturing personnel, Product Labeling , Product Validation, and other resources in the complaint handling chain to facilitate coordinating, conducting and documenting complaint investigations and problem resolution(s).
Training will include reviewing standard operating procedures, mentoring and shadowing existing personnel within the Systems Engineering and the Software Development teams.
