Provide technical support, training, troubleshooting, and consultation to internal and external customers for the diagnostic test systems marketed by bioMérieux. Provides clinical guidance and laboratory expertise to customers using bioMérieux applications. Coordinate efforts with Service Engineers to provide world-class system support for all internal and external customers. An Application Specialist promotes teamwork and cooperation, removes barriers to productivity, creates an enthusiastic/positive work environment.
Prioritize answering customer inquiries/concerns, both internal and external, per established guideline and document in ERP system; consult as appropriate with Application Specialist, System Engineer, Management, Global Customer Support and Lab IT Specialist
Provide consistent follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and meet minimum key performance indicators
Implement problem solving and troubleshooting techniques to resolve customer concerns raised during installation, operation, and maintenance events.
Establish and maintain ERP certification.
Provide expertise on bioMérieux products and procedures that are job specific, and assist with implementation of new products
Implement and share networking skills to provide connectivity support for our solutions
Perform on-call duties as needed to provide 24-hour technical support to customers
Participate in revenue generation initiatives through promotion of value-added projects and service.
Elevate team engagement through participation in new hire OJT processes, partner with leaders to identify and resolve barriers to support.
Drive and collaborate in projects identified by management in support of business needs.
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences or related Field
Minimum of five years of laboratory experience (Microbiology preferred)
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience with bioMérieux products
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent computer skills
Networking or LIS/LIMS experience preferred
