This temporary position will assist with various projects across the International Distribution Center (IDC) network for both reagents and equipment/spares. Working closely with other department members and potentially cross functional groups, this position will take on both transactional and analytical activities associated with the projects. In addition to project work, this position will learn the attributes of warehouse activity including: picking, packing, shipping, packaging, inventory storage, cycle counting, and material handling. At the end of this temporary assignment the intern will present his/her learnings and experiences to the department in a final prepared presentation.
Primary Duties:
- Assists with departmental projects as determined by department leader
- Picks and packs orders in the warehouse
- Performs cycle counts for warehouse storage locations
- Administers additional labeling to warehouse stock
- Prepares end of term presentation for department
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills :
- Students currently enrolled in a degree program at a recognized institution of higher learning, have reached Sophomore level status or later in school, and have a minimum of 3.0 GPA or above
- Must be a college student interested in an Operations/Supply Chain/Management career.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including verbal and written skills.
- Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Package.
