Description

The Sr Material Handler performs all shipping, material movement and receiving duties   
and confirms inventory levels. This job directly affects both internal and external   
customers. It also affects Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality goals of the   
division. Routine internal contacts may include, but not limited to Sales Administration,   
Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Material handling and Planning.   
   
Primary Duties:   
1. Pulls and packs product orders to ensure accuracy and efficiencies. Checks   
lot numbers: package weights and prepares carrier documentation.   
2. Receives and processes product from manufacturing or suppliers. Ensures   
parts are properly identified and labeled.   
3. Stocks product after approval for use in a manner to maintain 5S, inventory   
accuracy and safety.   
4. Counts physical inventory of all raw materials and finished goods in the   
warehouses and coolers.   
5. Processes all required paperwork to ensure the material transactions occur   
for all departmental activities.   
6. Maintains warehouse and work areas following 5S principles; participates 5S   
audits as needed.   
7. Follows all departmental and company safety policies including maintaining   
warehouse and work areas following 5S principles.   
8. Work with the department Associate Team Leaders and Team Leaders to   
ensure compliance with all cGMP, ISO and FDA guidelines for warehouse.

9. May need to drive a truck for material transport of product from one location   
to another.   
10. Provides training to others within the department.   
11. Identifies areas that need improvement within the department to assist in   
maximizing accuracy, minimizing errors and increasing inventory accuracy of   
all parts processed.   
   
Knowledge, Experience and Skills   
1. 2+ years of experience in a shipping and/or receiving environment and/or data entry   
experience preferred.    
2. High School Diploma or GED required   
3. Must be proficient in the use of computers to enter and retrieve data.   
4. Must possess clear written and verbal communication skills.   
5. Must possess attention to detail and organizational skills, and have the ability to   
work and communicate effectively with others.   
6. Experience with the safe and efficient use material handling equipment such as a   
floor jack, hand truck, order picker, and forklift is required.   
7. Truck driving experience is preferred.
