Description

This is a hybrid position to be based in Salt Lake City
bioMrieux is looking for a Global Product Manager, to oversee systems software and connectivity of our molecular platforms and join our Global Marketing team! This marketing role manages all aspects of current and future bioMerieux Molecular Systems product development from voice of customer collection, to concept design and to. This position works closely with market research, R&D, projects and programs, strategic planning, product analytics, software, field staff, regulatory, legal affairs, compliance, and clinical and medical affairs. This position includes interaction with key Molecular Systems software stakeholders in order to define product objectives, mapping out appropriate strategies, and executing effective solution to address unmet customer needs.
Executes:
  • Market research throughout global regions across bioMerieux medical device functions
  • Management and support of gathering requirements for new Molecular Systems software and technology features and products through voice of current and future customers
  • Development of solution software & connectivity strategy, solution roadmap, specifications, and marketing contributions for Molecular Systems software from VOC to project proposal
  • Post market surveillance for IVD device functions
  • Technical guidance and specification on product development for IVD device functions
  • Integrates customer healthcare tools and bioMerieux informatic solutions across the business enterprise and cross functional teams
  • Creation of product roadmap for Molecular Systems software requirements for the IVD systems
Develops with minimal supervision:
  • Strategy and positioning
  • Molecular Systems software product definition
  • Business enterprise informatics integration
  • Product value streams across bioMrieux Molecular system solutions
  • Strategic direction on bi-directional connectivity, laboratory information systems, and electronic health record inputs
Monitors and generates actionable insights into:
  • Competition
  • Market trends
  • Customer behaviors, beliefs, and attitudes
  • Market opportunities
  • Market research and enterprise business intelligence needs
  • Clinical data gaps and analysis
  • Product features that address unmet global medical needs
  • Health outcomes and economic research pipeline
Who are you?
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Training & Education: Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or business-related field; MBA, MPH preferred.
  • 4+ years of successful product management or other relevant experience preferablywith diagnostic or medical products
  • Lab and/or clinical experience preferred; not required
  • Experience in medical device software preferred
  • Experience in international markets preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Organizational and project management skills
  • Management and leadership skills
  • Sensitivity to a wide variety of cultures and a willingness to broaden horizons and experience to maximize personal relationships and business results
  • Knowledge of molecular biology techniques, such as PCR, is highly desired, but not are required
  • Possesses working knowledge of marketing regulated clinical diagnostics preferably in the field of infectious disease
  • Ability to adapt go-to-market strategies to variations in markets across the regions
  • Handles basic issues and problems, and refers some complex issues to higher-level staff
  • Interacts and presents technical information to audience with various levels of scientific

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Flexibility to accommodate working hours for interaction with global counterparts, asNeeded, this may include domestic and international travel
