Description

Main Accountabilities:
  • Delivers complex training programs and related materials in support of Customer Learning & Development objectives. Maintains records of training, participant progress, and program effectiveness
  • Serve as a lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Customer Education department to achieve smooth and efficient implementation of bioMrieux products in the customer laboratory. Provides the learner with a basic working knowledge of the system to foster confidence in the customers ability to act as key operator in their laboratory
  • Defines specific performance based learning objectives and ensures course content aligns with the established learning objectives.
  • Designs, develops, and delivers result-oriented training programs and materials in a variety of learning formats. Develops training courses and materials adhering to best practices in adult learning principles and methodologies. Utilizes established department processes such as the ADDIE development model and produces the required course documentation for courses (i.e. storyboards, learner and facilitator materials, job aids and other supporting program materials) in order to implement learning solutions
  • Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of existing training programs, presentations, and materials and provides recommendations to ensure program quality and company/department standards. Develops and updates training and learning programs to continuously improve course offerings and maximize learning retention. Researches and implements new and innovative instructional delivery methods.
  • Utilizes established department processes and procedures within job function. Ensures appropriate classroom and laboratory setups for training effectiveness and safety.
  • Performs other job duties as required by the Customer L&D Manager.
Studies-Experience:
  • B.S. required, major in Medical Technology, Microbiology, related science field preferred.
  • Has current/in-depth knowledge of hardware and software applications for bioMrieux product lines (ID/AST, Blood culture, Immunology/Molecular) preferred
  • 3-5 years microbiology experience in a clinical laboratory environment required
  • Training in scientific field preferred
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Various instructional methods (such as lecture, discussion, practical exercise, feedback, etc.) and delivery options/media (such as online learning, classroom training, blended learning, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge and application of adult learning principles, methods and techniques used in the development and delivery of training programs
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills, including procedural documentation and materials development
  • Excellent Problem Solving and Creative thinking skills
  • Strong detail orientation
  • Ability to manage projects independently. including managing project schedules and deliverables
  • Proficient in desktop computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite) and preferred experience with learning technologies (i.e. MS Powerpoint, Articulate, LMS, virtual classroom, etc.)
  • Knowledge Assessment methods and formats
