Description

The ideal candidate will reside within Indiana or Chicago
Primary Duties
  • Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of bioMrieuxs Quality System.
  • Coordinate and provide technical training, consultation, and ongoing support of bioMrieuxs diagnostic product lines within the U.S. customer base.
  • Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong professional relationships with all customers.
  • Answer internal and external customer inquiries and ensure regulatory compliance through timely and accurate documentation in bioMrieuxs CRM system; consulting as appropriate with Sales Partners, Application Specialists, Field/System Engineers, IT Resources, Management teams, and Local/Global Support Teams.
  • Provide consistent follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and meet minimum key performance indicators.
  • Responsible for efficient territory management within operating expense budget.
  • Support bioMrieux revenue initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, and/or as business needs dictate.
Supplemental Data
  • Scope and Resources Accountability: Manage training and field support of bioMrieux diagnostic products within the U.S.
  • Territory management over designated geographic area.
  • Extensive field travel is required (average 75%, including overnight stays).
  • Financial Indicators: Departmental Revenue contributions and OPEX budget control.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Effective and efficient training and support of bioMrieux diagnostic systems.
  • Key Contacts: (internal and external) and Interfaces: Customer Laboratory Personnel, Customer Support Operations, Regional Service Managers, Local and Global Technical Support, Managers, Personnel, Sales Managers, Marketing Managers, Local Field Service and Applications Personnel.
  • This position requires successful completion of background check, drug screen and other such consumer reports as necessary for vendor credentialing purposes
Training and Education
  • Bachelors degree in medical technology, technical or life science field
Experience
  • 1-3 years clinical laboratory experience or equivalent. bioMrieux product experience preferred.
  • Experience with guidelines with CLIA regulations and/or additional laboratory credentialing agencies preferred.
  • Experience with related technical field applications support strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrate leadership skills, able to work independently, effectively multitask to meet deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Windows OS, MS Office programs.
  • Exhibit sound decision-making ability, including problem resolution and troubleshooting.
  • Laboratory Information System, or Connectivity/Networking experience a plus.
  • Must be highly skilled at communication both written and verbal and should be able to interact with a variety of scientific levels from novice to expert.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like
  • Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day. Ability to operate heavy machinery
  • Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions
Domestic travel required average 75 % of time
International travel required <5% of time
