Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for performing rebate calculations and distributor margin calculations and reporting. Support closing activities related to revenue recognition, accruals, and revenue reporting. Under the direction of the manager will partner with other areas of finance and the business to ensure complete, accurate and timely recording of transactions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing Distributor Margin calculation and reporting.
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate application of revenue recognition.
- Perform the monthly close tasks associated with revenue; preparation of various reconciliations, revenue journal entries and revenue related analysis.
- Assist with annual external and internal audit by providing source support and other explanations
- Assist with annual budget and forecasting activities as assigned.
- Leverages data warehouse and BI tools to assist build sustainable and validated reporting and models.
- Ability to convert data to understandable and explainable format including slide preparation for the business.
- Support function to Clinical Commercial Operations leadership, Accounting, and Regional/Corporate FP&A teams.
- Performs ad hoc analysis as needed.
- Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of bioMérieux/BioFire Diagnostics’ Quality System.
Education, Skills, & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related field with minimum of 2 years’ experience in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 4 years’ experience in Accounting, Finance or related field with Associate’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field also accepted
- 6 years’ experience in Accounting, Finance or related field with HS Diploma/GED also accepted
- Experience in contract management/administration or experience working with an ERP system also accepted
- Commercial experience is preferred
- SAP or other enterprise management system experience preferred
- Experience with journal entries, auditing, month end close, lease accounting, and amortization schedules strongly preferred
