Reporting to the Associate Director of Clinical Marketing UKI, the Marketing Associate & Events co-ordinator will support the UKI Clinical Marketing team with activities around events that include contracting, purchasing, logistics, digital promotion, lead capture and management. Additional administrative responsibilities will include maintenance of local marketing databases and email accounts. Day to day this role will be under the supervision of the Digital and Communication Product Manager.

This position will be based in the UK office in Basingstoke, with occasional travel in and outside the region according to business needs. This role is offered on a 1 year fixed term basis.


What will your responsibilities be within bioMérieux?

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations in the marketing department to include checking internal marketing email accounts and forwarding messages to appropriate members of the team when necessary.
  • Support for organisation and deployment of external exhibitions and external and internal events; finding and booking appropriate venues, handling logistic arrangements, managing the registration process and post event feedback gathering
  • Manage the contracting of key external stakeholders e.g. KOLs, healthcare professionals and vendors for marketing activities in line with internal and external MedTech compliance rules and work with finance to ensure timely vendor set up and payment.
  • Promote professional exhibitions, workshops, web conferences, seminars and boost customers participation rate by use of digital marketing
  • Manage lead capture process during events and facilitate the distribution of leads into Sales Force (CRM software)
  • Support our Digital Marketing Specialist in Digital Campaigns, local website and blog content
  • Extract focused customer lists and contribute to the customers database update and cleansing using Sales Force (CRM software)
  • Maintenance and ordering of print collateral and merchandise


Who are you?

The ideal candidate will have

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business studies or experience in a similar role
  • Experience in project/ event management or a logistics role involving multiple stakeholders
  • Previous experience in the healthcare sector would be advantageous but not mandatory
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of CRM, Pardot, Marketo, Captello and SAP desirable


You must have the: 

  • Possess strong computer skills including email, internet, PowerPoint, word processing packages, databases, and spreadsheet
  • Strong sense of accountability and follow through
  • Ability to prioritise activities and maintain set timelines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player
