Global Solution Manager Pyrogens Testing

What will your responsibilities be at bioMérieux?

You will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy and life cycle management (including launches) for the pyrogens portfolio of solutions, which consists of instruments, reagents, software and services. You will collaborate closely with Program Management, R&D, Scientific Affairs, Sales, Global Industry Customer Service, Supply Chain, and adjacent marketing functions (both global and local subsidiaries worldwide).

• Define and execute the strategy to grow our pyrogen testing portfolio globally, based on a solid marketing rationale. This would include but not limited to performing market analyses including assessment of competition, market share, available / obtainable markets, segmentation, positioning, pricing, where to play, and how to win.
• Use Voice of Customer (VOC) to both evolve the range through the Product Development Process (PDP) framework to ensure customer needs are understood by project teams.
• Design tactical marketing plans with propositions that include value-based, scientific, and regulatory messaging and supporting proof points such as customer use cases. Coordinate execution of these plans with the support of the Global Communications Department.
• Lead, exchange, and align the worldwide pyrogen community of Business Development Managers (BDMs), regional marketing, and the bioMérieux Center of Excellence site in Bernried, Germany. Co-develop and create tools and resources with and for this community.
• Drive all aspects of the marketing mix (business models, product positioning, life cycle management, promotion & communication, pricing & distribution strategies, customer engagement and experience).
• Lead Lifecycle management activities including Go to / out of Market while ensuring achievement of profitability objectives coming from the core business strategy.
• Ensure that 3rd party agreements with key partners are aligned with marketing strategy and business objectives. Sustain profitability and competitive advantage of product ranges by leading life cycle management initiatives and new developments.
• Develop and maintain close relationships with key opinion leaders (KOL) and key accounts to capture customer experience and engage them in product launches and execution in our subsidiaries.
• Work with Scientific Affairs and Regulatory Intelligence personnel to foster adoption of sustainable methods as a compendial methods worldwide.

Who are you?

• You hold a degree in life sciences or process engineering and have strong business acumen.
• You have at least 5 years of experience as Product Manager in the pharmaceutical or life science industry including experience with global product launches—experience with endotoxin testing and pyrogens experience is highly preferred.
• You are fluent in English. Fluency in French is a plus.
• You are recognized for your leadership and communication skills and can distill complex topics into simple and clear messages for different stakeholders.

• You are willing to travel both domestically and internationally 30-50% of the time
• This position is located in the Lyon, France metropolitan area. Other locations within Europe will be considered for the ideal candidate.
