Solution Implementation Manager

This is a newly created role in the UK& Ireland cluster to meet the ever-changing needs and demands of the marketplace.  The SOLUTION IMPLEMENTATION MANAGER will be responsible for managing and guiding the process from winning the business to realising revenue. The projects will vary in complexity but may include all parts of our portfolio. This role will represent a key connection between the commercial and all service & support teams. The PM will also act as central point of contact for our customers and primary contract partners.

 

What will your responsibilities be within bioMerieux?
 

•    Define implementation project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholder including primary contractors.


•    Foster a positive team environment that promotes collaboration and high performance cross functionally.


•    Develop detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures, schedule creation, resource planning, costings and synthesising across multiple projects

 

•    Identifying and understanding the biggest risk areas to projects that could impact time or cost, ranging from long lead items, complex design work required or resource challenges etc.

 

•    Being responsible for creating solutions with the customer and resolving issues for more the complex problems on the project.

 

•    Being customer orientated with excellent client management skills.  Ability to successfully manage multiple projects between £500k to £15m.


•    Work closely with Tenders Team on providing implementation plans/system specifications/floor layout planning coordinating with the Lab Consultants on efficiencies and workflow.


•    Discuss system specifications with customer and/or primary contractors and advise on elements like UPS, utilities, delivery routes.


•    Liaise with the contracts team for confirmation of awards and outcome summary to understand the commercial aspect of the business to allow prioritisation of projects and tasks.


•    Review current installation and verification processes to align, reduce overlap of tasks and increase efficiencies to shorten “install to go live” periods.


•    Maintain project risk registers and lead stakeholders to develop and mitigate any identified risks.


•    Manage the day-to-day activities of projects and staff; communicate with cross functional project team as necessary to ensure project deliverables are on schedule and within cost parameters.

 

•    Communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers as needed regarding project deliverables including managing expectations, presenting and interfacing with clients and senior management.

 

•    Provide on-going project plan/status reporting for use by the business, customers and management.

 

•    Manage the operational, resource and organisational capacity planning.

Qualifications / Experience (not essential)

 

  • NEBOSH – Health & Safety
  • Prince II or Equivalent Project Management qualification or 5 Years of PM Experience
  • Educated to ONC/HNC Level Electronic/Electrical Engineering
