Our Global Marketing department is looking for a Market Research Manager, under a permanent contract, to join the Global Strategic Market Insights team (team of 9 members).

 

Our role is to support the definition and implementation of bioMerieux Clinical unit franchises’ strategies by providing market research, analysis/data/insights on bioMerieux activity and its broader market to inform/recommend strategic decisions on both Marketing/Commercial execution and future Portfolio.

 

What will be your mission at bioMerieux?

As a Market Research manager, you will lead qualitative and quantitative market research, extract and leverage insights that will be translated into clear recommendation to drive strategic business decisions, inform future portfolio, and guide commercial execution.

 

Primary duties

1. Contribute to marketing research planning and provide recommendations for appropriate research to meet Marketing Franchise objectives (future product development, brand tracker, market sizing, commercial targeting etc)

2. Challenge positively internal research demands to ensure their fit with company strategy.

3. Identify the best methodological approach and most adapted partner to meet the objectives of the research

4. Manage relationships with internal customers and partners and secure that research objectives are met.

5. When relevant proactively run secondary market research and leverage internal data sources to positively challenge/complement third parties market research results.

6. Own research results and take them an extra mile further to issue recommendations that are actionable.

7. Lead research results communication to key stakeholders involved in the decision making process (Marketing community, partner functions and upper management).

8. Support Marketing Franchises integrating market research results in brand/product strategies and roll-out results to key countries to drive operational excellence.

9. Support Regions and Subsidiaries from a methodological standpoint with studies they run on their own.

 

Who are you?

 

Master degree or higher in business, a scientific background is a plus (5 years of higher education in science and/or business)

 

Minimum 5 years of experience in international market research/ consulting/ strategic marketing either on the supplier or client side with a strong quantitative experience.

 

Strategic thinker with experience in providing recommendation to top management.

- Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, comfort with a certain level ambiguity, and a passion for leveraging insights to drive impactful decisions.

- Strong leadership skills to convince, persuade, obtain an audience adhesion

- Analytical and synthetic mindset; you have the ability to understand technically complex subjects and to produce simplified analysis

- Good communication and presentation skills and ability to deliver complex information into a simplified manner for different audiences (from marketing community to EXCOM members)

- Business-oriented, with a delivery & service mindset

- Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams; Team spirit

- Knowledge of methodological tools for analyses linked to a true business-oriented mindset

- Fluent in English

- You are used to principles of B2B marketing

- Knowledge of the In Vitro Diagnostics market for infectious diseases is a plus

- International experience is a plus

- Occasional travels (France and abroad)
