Description

The Commercial Analyst will be an essential member of the commercial operations team, responsible for managing, tracking, and communicating commercial analytics. This role involves analyzing and interpreting commercial data to provide actionable insights.  The ideal candidate will have experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Salesforce.com and will be skilled in viewing and maintaining dashboards and reports, ensuring data accuracy, and communicating findings to stakeholders. Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are preferred, along with a deep understanding of BI tools.  Analytical story telling through data will be a daily function of this role.

 

Primary Duties

  • Analyze and Report: Assist in analyzing key metrics such as revenue, products sold, and customer performance. Help prepare and present findings to support business decisions. 
  • Support KPI Reporting: Contribute to the analysis and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) for business reviews, aiding various departments like sales, compensation, marketing, and finance. 
  • Tableau Support: Provide basic support to end-users of the Tableau application, including troubleshooting and testing enhancements. 
  • Maintain SOPs: Help develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve the sales team’s analytical capabilities. 
  • Identify Trends: Assist in identifying trends and communicating insights through data analysis. 
  • Story Telling: Partner with peers to develop story-telling models to present to Sales, Marketing, and Finance partners throughout the bioMerieux global enterprise 
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting: Handle ad-hoc reporting requests and help maintain dashboards.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned, showing flexibility and the ability to multitask.

 

Training & Education

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Economics, or Data Science

Experience

  • Must have 2-3 years of data analysis experience in sales, finance, compensation and/or marketing field 
  • Must have 2-3 years hands-on experience with Tableau, Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, MS Teams, Power BI, Salesforce.com 
  • Capable of demonstrating priority management, attention to detail and analytical problem solving
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral, written, and group communication is essential.
