Description

The PCR Specialist 1 is responsible for the formulation of highly complex PCR products and sub-solutions within the required timeframes and production schedules, in compliance with established Safety and Quality standards. They will be responsible for the proper handling and accurate pipetting of numerous different raw materials, combining 5-15 components into a final chemical formulation. Additionally, they will be responsible for the proper dispensing and labeling into final, customer facing formats.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the manufacture and assembly of PCR Commercial Products, including final PCR products and sub-solution preparations via laboratory benchwork
  • Perform chemical titrations to a variety of raw materials and calculate and analyze data to prepare them in production ready formats
  • Working with supervisor, present continuous improvement opportunities through team and individual initiatives
  • Contribute to team goal development, tracking status and communicating with leadership team
  •  Utilize a variety of software systems to support and track daily work activities (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Netsuite ERP, Dropbox, Tulip, etc.)
  • Ensure the Manufacturing batch records and other documentation are prepared, completed and stored at the highest standards according to company policy
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and support of manufacturing automation with collaboration from stakeholders and impacted departments
  • Comply with safety requirements, cGMP, SOP and manufacturing documentation
  • Prepare, fill, label and package solutions for the production and distribution
  • Execution of critical and routine and non-routine production operations
  • Record data and update inventory into database
 
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or related field and between 0 to 2 years of industry experience or equivalent experience in GMP related industry
    • OR Minimum 5 years in relevant production environment with minimum 2 years in a role that involved leading others
  • Proficiency in liquid handling, specifically pipetting and/or using automated liquid handlers
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools – Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Able to comprehend and complete moderately complex instructions, calculations and procedures
