Description

Internship will contribute to the R&D Microbiology department’s ability to develop new and support existing products, timely completion of projects by performing routine tasks, and potentially be a part of more complex experiments.

Principal Contributions / Accountabilities and Associated Activities

  • Work independently to complete routine microbiology tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform data collection.
  • Comply with protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation.
  • The individual will work under the supervision of senior R&D staff, planning, prioritizing, and completing assigned activities.
  • Reasonable, reliable attendance and punctuality are essential job functions required for this position.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Pursuing an A.S. in laboratory technology, a B.S. or higher in Microbiology, health-related profession, biomedical technology, or molecular science.
  • Have completed at least one microbiology lecture and laboratory or other relevant laboratory coursework; completion of molecular biology laboratory is a plus
  • Theoretical knowledge of relevant techniques, such as pipetting and aseptic technique
