Position is responsible for daily cycle counting and audit activities in multiple warehouses. Activities include inventory counting, count auditing, variance identification, reconciliation, root cause analysis, and adjustment data entry into ERP system. Position will work closely with other departments to coordinate daily cycle count activities. Position will assist manager to develop, implement, and maintain a robust cycle count program to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory record during internal and external observation.
Candidate exhibits a high degree of technical and analytical competency with regard to inventory control, the enterprise business systems used by BFDX, the internal databases, and frequently used analytical tools including, but not limited to Excel, Visio, SQL, Azure, DOMO, Python, and R.
Responsible to assist inventory control management with metrics reporting to other departments. Has an analytical understanding of inventory data and is able to present that data cross departmentally.
Position resolves ERP and MES discrepancies reported through Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Inventory Control. Employs a wide array of analytical and statistical tools to explore root cause of inventory accuracy issues, analyze alternatives, and develop viable solutions.
Maintains daily, data in the department databases, ensuring accuracy for reporting and analytics of inventory data. Generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts. Integrates data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements. Programs and maintains report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources. May create specifications for reports based on business requests.
Position will provide quick response to supply chain, quality, and production teams’ to resolve variances. Takes daily proactive measures to ensure a high degree of inventory accuracy. Will monitor internal MES and ERP queues, will identify and document queue errors, will analyze errors for root cause, and will resolve errors with timely and appropriate action.
Position provides management and analysis of inventory data for use in decision making and efficiency improvement initiatives. Candidate will use analytical tools (Python, R, SQL, Advanced Excel, etc...) to graphically and visually represent inventory processes and data to communicate trends to the business and end users. Will collect, organize, and document process improvement data using cloud reporting (DOMO), JIRA, and MS office software to include Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project.
Training and Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
College courses or experience in Business Operations, Supply Chain, Inventory Control, Accounting, Business Information Systems, and Analytics required. Associate’s degree preferred. Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification preferred.
Experience: 2+ years warehouse, inventory control, analytics or lean implementation required. College courses in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Inventory Control, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Information Systems, and Analytics preferred.
Must have excellent attention to detail. Excellent problem solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills required. Presentation skills preferred. Must be able to read and comprehend documented inventory control procedures. Must have SQL skills and demonstrate proficient use to query and update databases. Ability to proficiently employ advanced excel tools such as the use of formulas, VLOOKUPs, Data Analysis, Pivot tables and Power Pivot is required. Experience using MS office software to include Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project is required. Experience using SAP, Sales Force, DOMO, and JIRA preferred. Knowledge of lean implementation, process improvement, and Six Sigma preferred, not required. Knowledge of statistical programming languages in Python or R a plus.
Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work 50% of time standing and or lifting.
Must have a valid driver’s license as travel between stock locations is required.
