Job Summary

Working under the direction of the Marketing Communications (MarCom) Manager, the Multimedia Production Designer I will work on a variety of elementary multimedia projects that may include basic videos, audio recordings, PowerPoint presentations, and other forms of multimedia communication. The Multimedia Production Designer I serves in a support role to the team on the completion of multiple projects and will be tasked to assists by performing a variety of different elementary functions in the creation of images, presentations, videos, and interactive materials and assisting with basic collateral development from conceptualization, design and distribution.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with the creation of basic multimedia pieces including online, social, audio, and video.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming meetings.
  • Following the direction of senior multimedia designers and the MarCom manager, maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all multimedia projects.
  • Create basic motion graphics, edit and export audio and video.
  • Update PowerPoint presentations.
  • Helps to maintain internal corporate communication screens.
  • Helps to maintain digital and physical asset library.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments.
  • Learn the brand identity and help to ensure brand consistency.
  • Use feedback to improve skills and designs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BioFire Diagnostics’ Quality System.

 

Qualifications

Training and Education

Associate’s degree in graphic design highly preferred but equivalent professional experience acceptable.

 

Experience

Minimum time and type experience required for this position.

Portfolio demonstrating proficiency in multimedia projects, photography, audio-video recording, editing, motion graphics, and attention to detail.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficient in relevant programs within Adobe Suite.
  • Basic skills with PowerPoint and/or Keynote.
  • Basic skills with Final Cut Pro Adobe After Effects and/or Adobe Premiere.
  • Basic skills with video shooting and editing.
  • Basic skills with photography for events, product, and portraiture.
  • Basic skills in motion graphics.
  • Able to condense information into a cohesive plan, and be able to effectively and efficiently communicate and help execute those plans under the direction of the MarCom Manager or other senior staff.
  • Ability listen to feedback to hone skills and improve designs
  • Ability to function equally under own initiative as well as under specific instruction
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently as part of a fast-paced team
  • Ability to adjust to changes in scheduling, and general flexibility in the work environment

Physical Requirements

Must be able to comfortably manage and maneuver all equipment including lifting, moving, and transporting of heavy materials (50-75lbs) of set, video, photo, and prop materials. Ability to maintain mental focus for extended periods of time.
